idl-font-lock-el software package provides OMG IDL font-locking for Emacs, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install idl-font-lock-el
idl-font-lock-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the idl-font-lock-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep idl-font-lock-el *
You will get with idl-font-lock-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
